HFor you AppleWork(ers) with Checkmate expansion, AutoWorks and Pinpoint J
Hmodifications to your AppleWorks program........There is a problem with J
Hthe AutoWorks Macros. If you put together an exotic macro, such as the H
Fone that I wrote to setup and format a spreadsheet, with headings and F
Dformulas, you may crash when you set the macro into operation. The >
macro works fine for me without PinPoint, but not with it.
GIt appears, after some testing, that when you use the Pinpoint Speller B
@and Document Checker, especially if all are in the /MRAM of the G
ECheckmate memory board, you will to need reconfigure AppleWorks with J
HAutoWorks by putting AutoWorks in a middle bank, such as bank 5, before G
Eyou add PinPoint and the accessories. You can do this without first C
Aexpanding a new, untouched copy of AppleWorks with the expansion F
Dsoftware, as AutoWorks has the ability of modifying APLWORKS.SYSTEM K
Ipreviously modified by AutoWorks. I tried the last bank, and AppleWorks H
Floaded into a "black hole" from which it was never seen again, on the K
Ifirst try. On the subsequent effort, with AutoWorks in the last bank, I F
Dexperienced problems with the Checkmate expanded AppleWorks itself, H
Fnamely a crash. Watch for further details in the TAWUG, but it looks
like the above fix works fine.
